White Stripes Reveal Details of Satan

From www.pitchforkmedia.com :

WHITE STRIPES have named their hugely anticipated new album ‘GET BEHIND ME SATAN’.

The album is released on June 6, preceded by a single ’Blue Orchid’ on May 30.

Plans for live shows are also coming together. Speaking recently in the US, Jack White told the LA Times that they are planning “events” rather than traditional concerts to launch the album. The first time they play in England will be at the Glastonbury Festival in June.

He said: "First we're going to play where we are not well known. Then if we have time, we will play New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Frankly, we are waiting for technology to advance in the United States before we attempt to perform this record live there."

For the first, exclusive review of ’Blue Orchid’, see this week’s NME, which is out tomorrow in London (April 12) and nationwide on Wednesday.

Looking forward to this. smile I've always liked White Stripes, but to be honest, the only album of theirs I've loved is De Stijl. Even still, I thought the work Jack did on Van Lear Rose topped that.

Another good one! On the same album, I love their version of I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself. Since Dionne Warwick is one of my favorite vocalists, I'm pretty picky about people remaking her tunes (and damn if everyone on American Idol doesn't wreck her songs). Their take on it was wicked!

De Stijl is great nod. "I'm Bound To Pack it Up" is always fun to play.

And judging from the title, I'm wondering if this is gonna be an all out blues album. Anyone know more about it?

Now I'm really confused. If your right, it would be an all out blues album that is so technologically advanced it cannot be performed live in the United States. confuse

Seriously, since they claim to have not used any computers to record their albums, what kind of technology do they need?

Maybe it's a joke.
