Besides working and being willing to spend your very last dime, winning tickets from radio stations, altho that happens once a decade for me. Also if you have concert going friends, and they like the same music as you, maybe they'll get the tickets first. Also hookups are the best. If somebody has connections and just happen to have an extra ticket, or if you rub elbows with the band, maybe you'll get in the free way.

Aha, I see. Actually I went to a sold out show a couple of days ago and showed up ten minutes before it was to begin. A woman saw me standing in line and asked if I had a ticket. I said I was looking for one, then she handed me a ticket and ran off.

Showing up at the last minute seems like a good ploy.

It helps when it's second row center too.

In a tribute to Evans’ fusion of jazz's free-ranging leanings and Hendrix's psychedelic and blues jams, the evening features renowned guitarist Vernon Reid, an alum of the band Living Color, and multi-instrumentalist Howard Johnson, who played on the Music of Jimi Hendrix album and was a frequent Evans collaborator. The roots will be playing at the House of Blues in chicago may 28th and hopefully i'll get to see u2, they added to more shows at the united Center.

I just found out that the Chili Peppers are playing a free concert in Las Vegas this summer. If I can get some friends to come along, then I will definitely be there.

Bloc Party is playing again in New York too.

Also, I'm trying to get a hold of Mars Volta tix too.
