ok, so i used to love nin and then i grew out of the whole angry and hopeless thing. has trent matured at all or is the content still the same? i've heard good things about this record but i don't get into angst ridden stuff that much any more.

then i have to purchase the record first. well, that or sit and attempt to download the tracks (which i haven't the time for). all i'm asking is whether or not trent is still angry/ angst ridden or if he's talking about new things.

Anyone else a bit disappointed with the album?
I think it's more like NIN "lite" or "The best album QOTSA never made"...

That's always the problem with NIN since 'The Downward Spiral', expectations are always set too high.....it happened to The Fragile, and it will happen again & again!

I think it's more like NIN "lite" or "The best album QOTSA never made"...

Neversin.

That would be 'Songs For The Deaf', Reznor has never made an album that was better than SFTD! And probably never will....

"Songs For The Deaf" is a cool album (yet overrated IMO...)
But I think this new NIN album would be great for QOTSA and IMO better than "Songs For The Deaf" for them...
Did anyone hear the album yet (anyone visited the listening parties?) or am I the only one here yet?

And well, Reznor made "The Downward Spiral" and "The Fragile" both IMO way way better than QOTSA's "Songs For The Deaf"...

Is it better than "The Hand that Feeds"? I'm going to get the album anyway, but that track does nothing for me.

This cd is in no way as "Hard" or industrial as their previous catelog, but the songs are well written, and they have structure.. I dig this album so far

My favorite's "Every Day Is Exactly The Same" closely tied with "Beside You In Time" and "You Know What You Are?"...

Wow? thats a single?

Its an incredible song as far as a NIN song. but not for radio.. he's not exactly singing in this one..

but the instrumentation is off the chain.. love it

Sorry, my bad, it's not on the single, it's on the "Nothing" promo for the single along with "Home" and all 3 mixes of "The Hand That Feeds" (Dub, Straight, Ruff) and apparently also on the Japanese version of the album (along with "Home"...)
