Live: Rufus Wainwright. One of the best ever. Yes. I just saw Rufus Wainwright with 7-piece band live in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and it was totally amazing. One of the best gigs i've ever seen (and i've seen hundreds).
Unbelievably emotional music. And also very uplifting and Rufus is surprisingly funny guy. Two hours, nearly 30 songs. Including Gay Messiah, Old Whore's Diet, Oh, What A World, Want... perfect set. Oh boy. And covers Hallelujah and Across The Universe. Now I am so ready for bed and some nice dreams. ********************************************

Ditto all that. He's great, doesn't get enough respect around these parts. And "Want Two" is damn underrated, too. | |
