what ever happened to steve stevens?

I mean this guy was like the 'slash' of the 80's...but I haven't heard from him in years...where is he now and what is he up to

the ultra-cool Stevens has rejoined billy idol, had his other band Atomic Playboys,
released 2 instrumental CDs with Terry Bozzio and Tony Levin. What made u think he disapeared?
