Boy George's Miss Me Blind

I was just checking this tune out the other day, ain't it a sample of a night 2 remember by shalamar ? It's the same song
John 3:16-20 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

We didn't "sample" back in the day. It's close but it's not the same beat or bass line. But it's all about " Miss Me Blind: The Misty Blue Remix". If you haven't heard that version check it out. That's the jam right there.

LOL

After I posted that, I thought about Sugar Hill lifting "Good Times" and Soul Sonic "Trans Europe Express"

I should have said, non-rappers didn't sample back in the day lol

What? confused

Culture Club's "Miss Me Blind" was written by them, and no samples were involved.

LOVE Culture Club, but have to admit I always wanted to hear different lyrics to this song:

"It can make you rich, it can make you poor, but I know that you'll miss me blind"should, in my opinion, have gone:

"It can make you rich, it can make you poor, but I know that you'll miss me even more."

Doesn't that sound better? What does it mean to miss something blind? To miss it and not know or see it? I've never heard the term except in this song.

Actually, "Planet Rock" was not a sample. It was "Trans Europe Express" remade with instruments. Rappers had a lot more talent back then.
Andy is a four letter word.
