words cannot describe how depressed I am that I was not able to get tickets to the DC show tomorrow night.

Hopefully she will be back around w/ the band, but it's not the same.... i love the solo shows so much

Dude...seriously go to the show about an hour or two before door open. Someone is sure to be unloading their tickets for cheap. Either a scalper that couldn't sell or someone who had a last minute change in plans. I don't know how it is for Tori, but at the majority of shows I've been to...you've got an 80% chance or better of getting something for a good price. It's worth a try!

You should absoultely go to the venue JonSnow. Here is a true story. Tron and I HAD to see Bjork during the Homogenic show. Chicago House of Blues was the nearest concert. They were totally and completely sold out. Even the scalpers were offering Nathan big $$$$$ if he could come up with tickets. We drove there anyway ~ all night. All day, we sat in the hotel lobby with piles of change calling every ticket broker we could find. No luck. We went to the HOB and someone had one extra ticket. Nathan bought it even though there were two of us. We each had secretly decided to let the other one have the ticket and that the one without the ticket would wait outside until the concert was over and try to meet her. I held our spot on line while Nathan frantically searched for tickets. He can orgnote you about how he got them but it was a true gift from somewhere above and we both got in! It was the most amazing show ~ the first time I'd seen my all time favorite artist and even though we were going on about 40 hours with no sleep we waited for her and got to speak with her briefly and give her gifts we had brought. The entire night was absolute magic! GO!!!!! I hope you get awesome tickets and can meet Tori. Let us know

well ya'll... i got tickets. i actually got them from ticketmaster today, they must have released some. I was shocked!! they were great seats too. some friends of mine who got them in the pre-sale were up in the balcony, and we were on the floor 15 rows back. it was awesome

the show was great, the looked and sounded fantastic, and the Beekeeper stuff is really wonderful live. She did a cover of Madonna's Like a Prayer tonite, that i think tori fans will remember for a while

thanks!! i was amazed we got tickets today, and it was well worth it. Mother was awesome... her voice just sounded so amazing. and i always love Take to the Sky. and Rattlesnakes!! I'm glad some of the SLG are getting some play on this tour, i think it's an underrated album.


I would have been really bummed if i missed this set!! i'm so glad i checked for tix today, i will always remember to do that if this situation happens again in the future.

and Friday - DURAN DURAN!!! this is a good week.

And I'm starting to agree with you about SLG. I never paid much attention to it, but I've been giving it another chance lately. There are a few renditions I don't care for, but most of it is remarkable. Strangely enough, my favorite original in the bunch would be "Enjoy the Silence", but I think her version just kinda sits there. I'd say it's the least interesting or memorable of all.

I want to thank you again for the review of Beekeeper you wrote ~ it was before the U.S. release and was so well done and enthusiastic that it provided huge excitement for what was to come. Have fun at Duran Duran! I was thinking last night what a great year this will be for me too (as far as concerts go) ~ Tori with a piano next week, Ani DiFranco for the first time in July and Dead Can Dance (who are reuniting for a tour and album) in October. Now if Bjork and David Sylvian would perform near me it would be perfection!

i just heard the performance of like a prayer! the crowd was so surprised and so happy! i really wish i was there, in the midst of all that excitement. its rare that tori fabns get so excited that they can't quiet down for a performance, lol. usually its a quick burst of applause and then quiet. they couldn't contain themselves for this one.

madonna really does rule the world, lol!
