I'll have to say 'Invincible' wins this round
There are at least five songs that I really like: "Heaven Can Wait","Butterflies","Break Of Dawn","Whatever Happens" and "Cry". Notice that those are the slower tracks. The uptempo songs are nothing to write home about.

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

No argument there. DavidEye likes it, tho'. Everyday Is A Winding Road is easily one of Prince's most terrible remakes to date though Oh my vote goes to SHIT I CANT SAY! ILL PICK INVINCIBLE!! Sorry Prince, but his slow jams were more soulful than Silly Game and Man O War. Cant beat Butterflies, Break Of Dawn, Dont Walk Away, Whatever Happens. Then on the other handMJ cant beat Prettyman, So Far So Pleased...and Rave of course except with maybe YRMW and Invincible Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I haven't commented because I truly can't decide. While Rave is not Prince's best, the CD in particular is one of my guilty pleasures. The songs I like on it, I really like. The songs I like on Invincible I've already stated are some of MJ's best in recent years and yet... I still can't say. I admit my indecision is based in emotion rather than the quality of the music. Invincible makes me feel melancholy while Rave gives me a natural high. At the end of the day... Invincible is better but I get more pleasure out of Rave. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

A few nice cuts. I only ever hear the title track and "wherever u go, whatever u do", which is short and sweet. "invincible" for the first 3 tracks alone beats "rave". You gotta be kidding! The first three tracks on Invincible are about as boring as they come (not to mention, they all sound friggin' indentical). "smacks of laziness" may describe Rave, but "smacks of total fraking crap" describes Invincible. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

The first 3 songs of Invincible are so busy and overproduced it's not even funny.
Rave sounds like P said: Here's a few songs I threw together over the weekend. Hope you like it. Invincible sounds like MJ said: I worked really really really hard on this album. Please like it. Please. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Rave sounds cheap to these ears; almost like Prince didn't have the funding to make a modern sounding R&B album, so he had to use dated instruments, and pull out old demos and retouch 'em.
Invincible, on the other hand, sounds like it was smothered with money. Like most other MJ productions of the late 80's and 90's, it suffers from extreme overproduction. It's almost like he didn't have enough confidence in the music, so he had to use all sorts of gimmics to sell it. I'm going to vote Invincible, cause I liked it for the first two weeks it was out. In October-November '01, I played that shit out. Now, I can't bear to listen to it, but at the time I really liked it. I never really liked Rave, save for a few songs. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.
