Weiland's voice is way nicer, but Axl is unique. I think Axl's high voice is hideous but he's about the only one who can do it like that. Like Prince & Plant, you might not like it but they are setting new standards. I like Guns & Roses only enough to have bought their greatest hits, generally i dislike Metal. i did like a lot of their hits, liked Slash's playing and I really don't mind Axl's vocals. Right for the band.
A friend of mine passed on seeing Prince's D&P tour to go see G&R instead. At the time i thought he was mad, but since then i've changed my mind somewhat. Great live act, and a pity they blew apart. I'd take them over shit like Bon Jovi anyday. |

Dude, Axl took singing lessons JUST SO he could sing like that. Look it up if you don't believe me. He's TRAINED.
I would agree though he's not what you would call a "great" SINGER...but he's probably one of the great rock VOCALISTS. If you have to ask what I mean by that, I guess you'll never know. | |
