There is no way in a thousand lifetimes that Eminem will be in the same realm as Jimi Hendrix. I admire Elton John a great deal, but as of late, Elton has been saying things that make me go hmmm...

One minute he is speaking ill of Madonna and the next he is trying to make it right with her. I don't understand the logic behind him saying that Eminem is equal to Hendrix. What next? Elton will be saying that Justin is equal to James Brown?

I love Elton's music, but I think at this stage in his career he is saying a lot of things for shock value -- and it isn't funny. I have always had my reservations about him performing with Eminem on the Grammys and it wasn't all that great of a performance. It was something to keep his name out there and it helped Eminem sell more CD's -- that's all. To compare Em to Hendrix does Eminem an injustice. They are from two totally separate worlds.

Maybe it's the simple fact that they both won Academy Awards and have a lot of Grammy Awards between them that made him say that.
