Louie Louie (He worked with Prince and was in a Madonna video?)

I cannot find one pic of this dude. He dropped an album in 1990 called "the state I'm in". I dug it out agian today. He had long black hair and dispite the pop production, he was a weird artist.

For some bizarre reason, Dizzy gillespie is on trumpet and intro talk on the single "sitting i the lap of luxury", which is about him being a gigalo. Sorta proof that he was not a NKOTB clone lyrically

Other song was "the state I'm in". I love that song.

Good album. Anyone remember him? (Iam sure no one does?)

here is an article. I had no idea prince worked with him and was in "borderline"?

I remember his song called "sitting in the lap of luxury" and I even vaguely remember his performance on the Arsenio Hall show. Did't he work with Madonna or something?

U can see him in Vegas now. Someone must know the Prince songs?

Glad he has done (very) well for himself. I found out he was in "house party 2" and "kids". In "house party 2", I think he must be the assistant to Iman. They are both the sleazy record producers.

He was the pouty Latin boy in the "Borderline" video. They dated very briefly after that.

louie louie's second album was called 'let's get to it'
it contained 2 p tracks - 'get blue' (written by paisley park and levi seacer jnr) and 'dance 2 the rhythm' (written by paisley park and michael koppelman - featured rosie gaines on backing vocals).

think the rest of the album was produced by howie hersh who did stuff with color me badd and worked on paula abdul's 'head over heels' album.

think george michael did do something on one of the tracks but under a pseudonym.

not the worst album ever....

I've got his performance of "sittin in the lap of luxury"on club mtv on vhs.I also have the video. There's a trumpet solo in the song.I don't know if it was done by Dizzie, but in the intro Louie says "get Dizzie"as opposed to "get busy".

Louie Louie is incredible! You can check him out at www.louielouie.com and see what he's been up to. He was one of Madonna's back-up singer/dancers and is the boyfriend in the "Borderline" video. After his first album, he then released "Let's Get Started" and it did feature Rosie Gaines on backing vocals on some very "Prince-sounding" songs. His most recent album was the self-released "Dance Love Work" (2002) and it blows the other two out of the water. You would not believe how much Prince influence this man has!!!

He also released an album by his real name, "Louie Cordero," back in 1996. It had 13 songs on it, recorded in both English and Spanish. The guy has got some pipes on him and can sing!

Unbelievably, for the last seven or eight years, Louie has been giving THE BEST free show in Las Vegas! You could see him at the Las Vegas Hilton or MGM or Sunset Station. He was at the MGM last year when I was there. Usually his website tells where he's at and what times the show is. BUT -- the site doesn't mention he is playing anywhere right now so I assume he is between venues and is working on a new stage show. He's got an incredible band, by the way. If you are in Vegas sometime, look for him... it's worth it.

Chances are, if he "had sex" with Madonna he's a little light in the loafers.
