What I would like to know is why he is a laughing stock in the rap community? Perhaps this should be a separate thread but I really would love to know why that is? I know his earlier stuff was funny but some how he has become a big joke. Is it because he's not "black enough"? Or not rhyming about hoes and cars? If that's the reason then what does that say about or culture and the kind of people we give credit to? Everyone on this board knocks Fiddy but then they don't want to see Will Smith succeed either.

I see it debuted at #12 on Billboard.

That's not bad.

I noticed that too and I think that's great. It means obviously some people like him.

His raps are flat out corny. Pop-fluff. Maybe he's a nice guy, but as a rapper, he leaves a lot to be desired. He sells records, but so does Britney Spears & J-Ho. I wouldn't call their stuff good music, either.

I find his interviews more annoying than his raps. Everytime Will & that wife of his open their mouths, I want to do an Elvis on my TV. Nothing but "blah, blah, blah."

Ok, I can see your point, especially after seeing that picture, LOL! Yes, he's a bit corny and I know what you mean about him taking the easy route in order to sell records but I still think i'd rather listen to him over Fiddy, or Fat Joe. I guess his clean cut, wholesome image annoys people but I still think he's a more positive influence for young people.

THIS SONG TOPPED both U.S & British Charts when it was released in 1999/2000
and Will is much more positive role model for black youth than "fiddy" or any o those other idiots, wish he would get the respect he deserves...
