It's no longer cool to get it on your upper arm. People will only know that you have one if you wear a sleeveless shirt. but why the star? every hipster/scenester in every major city (and some not so major cities) has that same star. sometimes its black, sometimes its blue, sometimes its red, sometimes its not colored in and its just the shape but its always that same star. it just seems kinda corny for all these people to have the same tattoo. kinda like the whole tribal thing from the 90's. B'coz as with alot of gay blokes - they follow the pack & are totally unoriginal and copy each other!! oooh luv ure star gurl, next week they have one!!

I don't think 'following the pack' is a gay thing. Nor do I think the star is a gay thing. And, while it may be overdone now, I like the star-tat. It's simple and most often sexxxy. IMO, of course.

PEOPLE follow the herd mentality. It's just a shame that us gays didn't learn better Maybe the star-tat is still making inroads in the MPLS queer-munity. So far, the majority of times I've seen it has been on dirty/punkish/hipster boys- usually straight ones. anyways, I'll quit helping the jacking of this thread!

its not a gay thing...quite the opposite. the star tat is definitely more of a hipster/scenester thing.
hmmm...its actually kind of sad to think that gays are following the trends now and not setting them!

hmmm...its actually kind of sad to think that gays are following the trends now and not setting them! We have seen the same seismic shift in the European fashion houses. Take Versace, for instance. Gianni knew how to run that motherfucker, but now that he's gone, confused Italian hausfrau Donatella sullies his name with alligator skin and PVC. It's a symptom of a bigger problem .

UK Magazines: OK!
Posted: 06 April 2005 UK fans will want to pick up the latest issue of OK! magazine (12 April 2005 issue 464) which features two pages of pictures of Madonna on her latest photoshoot. Unlike what has previously been reported in the press, OK! magazine states that this was for a magazine photoshoot and not for a videoshoot. Madonna wasn't having a sartorial crisis - she was photographed for a magazine. The theme is anyone's guess, but with the icon looking stunning in bosom-exposing ballgowns, '50's styling and burlesque fabulousness, we just know the pictures will look amazing. Well, these are the *rumored* tracks so far... "I Love New York" "Twisted Logic" "Goddess" "You're The One" "In An Instant" "Stare" "Liquid Love" "Imagine" "You're The One" is a tentative title that will most likely be changed. [Edited 4/6/05 6:38am] I know this sounds petty but other than "You're The One" and "In An Instant", I'm not feeling the song titles....If I set myself up for dissapointment, that way if it's any good, I'll be thrilled!

First of all, Madonna looks like she could benchpress 225.
Second of all, those star tats just remind me of the lead singer for Crazy Town. come m'lady, come come m'lady

Perhaps. The one part that sounds odd is where they claim that this new album "has nothing to do with rock".But an insider who heard the three tracks that were submitted to Warners describes these songs as "danceable rock...like Chumbawawa".While I don't expect that it will be a full-fledged rock album,I bet there will be alot of rock on this album.

I'm looking forward to the new album.
However, my taste regarding Madonna seems a little strange. My favourite albums are 'American Life' and 'Bedtime Stories' all of which were considered 'flops'. I thought 'American Lfe' was a much more mature, thought-provoking and well-rounded work than 'Music'. And 'Bedtime Stories' is still on my CD player to this day. Peace Mr7

Peace Mr7 American Life is much better than Music. And the fact it didn't sell too well just makes the album more personal to me. I don't know if Bedtime Stories is really a flop though. It sprung off "Take a Bow," her biggest US single ever, and also Secret which was a well known hit.
