She is always catching the holy ghost. It would be nice if her next performance was subdued.

Some of my friends said she sounded absolutely awful, as if her voice was damaged - can anyone confirm this?

she was very good...it just makes you realize how bad everybody this year sux. there's no emotion, all they do is mug for the camera. latoya london, fanstasia and jennifer husdon were heads and tails above the rest last year. this year, it seems like a few of the people have the potential/voice to do something really great, but they just haven't done it yet. you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I thought this was going to be about the music in Disney's masterpiece
Which is fantastic BTW | |

seriously, thats what makes her so great to me she is very powerful and you can 'feel' her emotions when she sings.... call me crazy, but i LOVED her performance, and im kinda upset that her album doesnt contain more of those 'holy ghost' emotions as you say shes got a gift and she damn sure knows how to use it and how about rubben ???? he was looking great last night i have loved him since i first saw him i just wanna hug him tight One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111

I love her voice. She absolutely deserves to be where she is right now. If it's all about raw talent, I think she's far above Ruben, Clay and Kelly put together. But songs like BABY MAMA aren't her friend.

She needed to call Cheryl Pepsi Riley Thanks For My Child By Cheryl "Pepsi" Riley You came into my life, You just made everything right. And even though my man has left me behind, I don't regret a thing for having you. Thanks for my child, I'm really thanking you, the man above Thanks for my child You brought me so much joy This bundle of love Thanks for my child and though your father, He ran away free. The love I have for you baby, Is the love I have in me I'll stay and watch you grow, Yes I will! I'll raise you by myself, A one woman show. You make life worth singing a song (echo)You make life worth singing a song' With you right here with me, I 'll have the strength to go on. Thanks for my child Here we are to today, the years have gone by Thanks for my child you grew before my eyes, time after time Thanks for my child I'll hold you in my arms, I hold you close to me rock a bye my baby, I'll rock you to sleep I understand your language, Your baby talk You forgot to crawl, Before you walked There you are just looking so beautiful And all the while, you are wrapped in blankets You are my love child. Thanks for my child I really thanking you, The man above Thanks for my child You brought me so much joy, This bundle of love Thanks for my child And though your daddy, He ran away free The love I have for you baby Is the love I have in me, Inside of me The love I have in me I just know, I'll never let you go, no, no No, no, no, oh yeh Cause you're my sweet baby Papa can't preach, Papa was a rolling stone because He left his beautiful, Cause he left, us alone But that's OK cause I'm you mother baby I carried you for 9 months, And I'm gonna carry you Until you can carry yourself On your own I love you sweetheart, (child) I love you too mommy! OR [Chorus] B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas This goes out to all my baby mamas B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas I got love for all my baby mamas It's about time we had our own song Don't know what took so long Cuz now-a-days it like a badge of honer To be a baby mama I see ya payin' ya bills I see ya workin' ya job I see ya goin' to school And girl I know it's hard And even though ya fed up With makin' beds up Girl, keep ya head up All my [Chorus] B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas This goes out to all my baby mamas B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas I got love for all my baby mamas I see you get that support check in the mail Ya open it and your like "What the Hell" You say "This ain't even half of daycare" Sayin to yourself "This shit ain't fair" And all my girls who don't get no help Who gotta do everything by yourself Remeber: What don't kill you can only make you stronger My baby mama... [Chorus] B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas This goes out to all my baby mamas B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas I got love for all my baby mamas Cuz we the backbone (of the hood) I always knew that (that we could) We can go anywhere, we can do anything I know we can make it if we dream And I think it should be a holiday For single mothers tryin' to make a way But until then Here is your song Show love to my.... [Chorus] B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas This goes out to all my baby mamas B-A-B-Y M-A-M-A This goes out to all my baby mamas I got love for all my baby mamas two totally different messages...CPR's song has hidden digs at the man who left her and her baby, but is sung to the child, not the man, as the title would infer. Fantasia's song speaks to the girls/women who have decided to have their babies and are out there trying to make ends meet. I can relate more to Fantasia's song because my own Dad left my Mom with 5 kids in 1977 and she struggled and busted her assto make it all work for us. all 5 of us have gone to college and are doing well. so yeah when people say "it's a ghetto song" i disagree--it's about taking the hand that you've been dealt and doing what you gotta do to get by. Some of ya'll make it seem like she made a song about getting a damn welfare check every month instead of about "making the beds and going to school" you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

Well using the term Baby Mama as a title gives it a negative stereotype vibe don't you think? Almost negating the sentiments wanting to be expressed.

I've got it on my DVR.I'll check it out and holla back. Ok,the last part of the performance may have been a wee bit over the top.But Fantasia is the truth! She's got the vocal ability and the stage presence. If were one of the top 9,I would have just walked off the stage. larry luvlife

S.I.N.G.L.E. M.O.T.H.E.R.S. "yeah so lets go to the other extreme" hate to say it..but there's a segment of the population (which obviously doesn't include you) who doesn't find the song or it's title demeaning. i'm 37 so the term "baby mama" is not in my lingo, but i'm sure there were a lot of terms that i grew up with that rubbed somebody the wrong way. just because you don't relate to it, don't hate on it you look better on your facebook page than you do in person
