hell, i love women. i was raised by 'em. they taught me how to outsmart most men and how to be a bitch (and i do mean that in the most powerful possible way). i think that's why i admire female 'divas' who are extremely powerful and over-the-top aggressive, like grace and diamanda. the women i listed, among many others, are amazingly inspirational to me.

the teachers i've had throughout my life who inspired me to be a writer, to get into theater, to find my own spiritual path? all women.

believe me. i'm SO not anti-woman.

but: i love men, too. and i love it when i can look at the art a gay man has created and relate to it. it's all too rare to find, unfortunately. there's absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating gay male "icons". it's just more de rigeur to defer to the divas, i guess.
