Janet's been listening to Prince since "Soft And Wet", MJ himself invited Prince onstage to the James Brown concert in 1983, so I bet MJ has heard quite a bit of Prince's material.

Real question: What is MJ's favorite Prince bootleg?

Has MJ ever talked about Prince? If so, someone plz post quotes. I wanna hear them. ANd also vice versa - Prince´s quotes on MJ. Cause I haven´t heard a lot of them.

Prince played Billie Jean (himself on the keys, I think) during an ONA US soundcheck, saying that this was actually a very funky song.
And during the second name change press conference a reporter asked wether him or Michael Jackson would win in a fist fight. I can't really pull together what he said, so I'd rather not paraphrase it here. Maybe someone has the transcript.

Can't remember exactly what he said either, but I know he made some joke about MJ being "a lover, not a fighter". Then he said something about how people should just leave Michael alone "'cause we all have to go home in the end".

Something like that. smile

For the record, I think it'd come out a draw. MJ's bigger, but have you ever been kicked with a stilleto? wink

Uh, so we know P has listened to Thriller if he can quote from Girl is Mine on a whim.

That was a Howard Stern setup question btw.

Yeah, I know it was a setup. Entertaining, nonetheless. I wish P.'d get asked goofy questions like that more often.

Prince is SO a Michael Jackson fan. Betcha he's got the whole MJ catalogue stashed somewhere in his music collection. razz

Curious Child
In a room full of harlots and fantasy
Destiny beckoned us there
Curious child on the balcony
We took the dare

Careless I was 2 caress thee
Yet never regretting the time
The joy that we shared, it was meant 2 be
And not a crime
No, it's not a crime

If memory serves us, we will align
2 the truth that we most often share
Curious child, U are on my mind
Do U care?
