Agreed. I still groove off it more than the new CD b/c it is more funkier in my opinion.

Actually, their style is House, not Techno. Check this out sometimes for more detail: http://www.ishkur.com [Edited 4/2/05 23:51pm]

you mean of the ones that are known a bit, as in having scored a hit or two.... house, not techno....., the US is so behind.....but was a pioneer in techno (the Detroit-sound), but Europe quickly passed!

Like everyone else is sayin' - Discovery is great - Human After All isn't so hot, but it has its moments. Get Discovery first.

"Discovery" is their masterpiece."harder, better, faster, stronger" is the cut! If you get the Discovery album & you like it, try to rent or buy the Daft Punk movie "Insterstella 555" .It's a cool Japanese anime movie set to that album's songs. The story revolves around a rock band from another galaxy who gets kidnapped by an evil music promoter & are used as pawns.

Ex-Moderator | Discovery's a ball but who can forget Homework? I remember seeing them perform at a rave here in Mpls shortly after Homework came out and being utterly blown away blissed out couldn't stop dancin completely high even though I was completely sober. Discovery's amazing, and arguably better, but there'll always be a soft spot in my heart for Homework. |

Brotha, there are different definitions depending on where ya at. When you mention Chi-town, it is the capitol of house and is the real deal. Oh , I feel ya b/c I am from an area not to far from Detroit. "It's Time For The Perculator."

Chicago House is THE original (ware)house music. No arguement there. But French House (France, home of Daft Punk) is funky in it's own right.
