Why the fuck are you people pining over Al these days? This is the second "bring Al B. back!" thread I've seen in a month

I never really forgave Al.B Sure for that horrible song he wrote/produced for Al Green in the late 80s...."As Long As We're Together"

I like that song! Not very typically Bowie, if there's anything like that. How is that song viewed by Bowie fans in general?

Can u imagine them trying nerd shit? We've been through this before but Kashif and even Ray parker jr released solid Newjack efforts. As did James Ingram ("its real") and even miss ross. Whole album is the most desperate attempt I have ever seen at blatently conforming to a music style.

"Workin Overtime" is garbage and you know it.Diana Ross had no business jumping on the New Jack Swing bandwagon. She sounded silly and desperate.I still cringe when I think about the video. It was equally embarassing seeing Al Green in that tacky video with Al B.Sure.

Are you saying that the 45 year old Ms Ross, sashaying through a sweaty nightclub full of kids, looks ridiculous??? Surely not! My mate actually gave me a video compilation of all her hits and - as much as love Diana - most of them are terrible! I crack up laughing every time I see this. (And 'Muscles'). I just think she looks like a middle-aged woman who's stumbled into the nearest bar. Which just happens to be playing New Jack Swing. Mmmm, she looks grrrreat in leather too. All the men love her. ok ya'll....
i gave my reviews on the "Private Times....& The Whole 9!" album on aol.and part of what i wrote was that although i'm not a Diana Ross fan her vocal abilities on "No Matter What You Do" with Al B. Sure held up pretty good. Diana Ross+New Jack Swing? "Save The Overtime For Me" by Gladys Knight & The Pips... There's some funk fo ya right there!

Her videos are a little tacky, huh? Remember her 1983 "Pieces Of Ice" video? She's a beautiful woman and she's really classy, but in her videos, she simply tries too hard and it shows.

Oh God, I forgot about that one! I'd never heard of it until I was given that video. Those half-men, half-wolf dancers are the BEST! And as for Eaten Alive... that seamless bit where the guy transforms into a panther - she must must have spent mega bucks on the CGI. I reckon they based 'Manimal' on that one.

Funny how we're discussing Diana Ross on an Al.B Sure thread
did you ever the song they recorded together "No Matter What You Do"?

The only thing I've ever liked about Al B Sure is his looks. He should have left the music alone and become a porn star. Andy is a four letter word.

'No Matter What You Do'???
I've seen that mentioned on the Org but, other than that, never heard it. Was it released as a single?? Would love to hear it (without having to buy a whole Al B. Sure! album )

Sure! album ) It appears on Al's second album 'Private Times...and the whole 9'.It was released as a single, but it didn't go anywhere. It's a mediocre song.Al has said that he wrote it when he was a child, and it certainly sounds like it.The lyrics are juvenile.... "No matter what you....I love you....all the time No matter what you do...I love you....all the time" that's the chorus
