New CD/DVD dual disc releases

Sorry if this has been posted before (no Search!)

I read an article in Rolling Stone about how Duran Duran, Springsteen, Bowie, even NIN (The Downward Spiral) are all coming out in special dual CD/DVD packages which will, I guess, include videos and other extras?

Has anyone bought any of these yet?

All Dual Disc releases are released as a basic album and then the DD version

I've not bought any of those releases, but The Donnas' last album was a dual disc release. It's not a bad way to go really. I prefer it over those stupid enhanced CDs that drive me bonkers every time I slip them into my PC. They first came about a few years ago and were awful (mostly because they were too thick), but they've improved much since then.

One side is CD and the other DVD, right?

I think their stupid and not even worth the two dollars more. Give us a full DVD, not just that making of crap with one video. Pointless!

That's correct.

What Bowie? Young Americans? Seems like half of his stuff is a double disc at this point.
