I watch the show ever so often and no one really sticks out to me. They always keep saying "Oh, this is the best year". I thought last year and even the year before they were all much better.

I'm actually watching this show on occasion this year; it's the first year I've even given it that much attention.

That said, I'm surprised we're even discussing Jenae or Makayla. Jenae couldn't hold a tune in a bucket, and Makayla's talent was far exceeded by her annoyance factor. They were considerably younger than most of the other competitors, and it showed in their performances. Neither should have been anywhere near the top 12, and some decent singers were eliminated while these no-talents were allowed to languish on stage.

Now they're both gone (finally), and the sun is shining again...somewhat.

I'm convinced that Nadia's difficulties (consistently placing in the bottom three) stem from some poor song choices she has made recently. Nadia, Bo and Carrie are the only people I've bothered to vote for since this competition started. Bo has a strong, bluesy voice and owns the stage, and Carrie's voice is arguably the best of everyone this year.

I like Nadia a lot. She doesn't have the best voice, but when she nails a performance, she really nails it. She has great stage presence, and she manages to make a lasting impression (unlike Vonzell, who has a better voice and yet remains instantly forgettable). I also like risk-takers, and she definitely falls into this category (the downside is that these risks can result in poor song choices, as mentioned above).

It doesn't hurt that I also find her to be very easy on the eyes.

"Time After Time" was admittedly a misstep -- but I think the problem there was that Nadia elected to use the updated rock arrangement. I think she would have done better with it if Cyndi's original arrangement had been used instead.

To show that I am fair.....I thought her last performance was excellent. The best by her so far. But I still don't like her
