i like 'david live' more than i ever have, thanks to the recent reissue. something about it makes the whole thing a lot clearer and easier to digest.
but i'm still all about the 'stage'. it has a certain essence to it that just makes bowie sound like such an icon to me. i love it.

It's magical actually...Warszawa is the best instrumental track I ever seen! Bowie is a genius!Incredible how is band is tight...and the voice: that wierd alien Vs. angelical posture in is voice!!!!

the performance of 'heroes' on 'stage' is my favorite version of that song ever, and maybe my favorite live bowie track ever as well.
'beauty and the beast' and 'blackout' are top notch, too.

i looove this album. well...feel even more vindicated, my friend. after my whinging about bowie being a master of re-mastering, i went out the other week and picked up both sets. it was only a matter of time and i knew this from the beginning. i just wish he'd stop doing it cuz i'm such a sucker!

Oh and I totally love what he did with "Soul Love" on Stage. He actually turned it into a soul song! Perfect.
