What is it about Stevie Nicks I was just watching a Fleetwood Mac concert called The Dance and everytime Stevie got near a microphone, I would just want to scream and/or drop to the floor . She makes me lose it and I don't even know all that much about her.
Maybe I've read one too many purplegypsy threads, or there is something truly idolworthy of Stevie Nicks.

Her work on the Fleetwood Mac, Rumours and Tusk albums was the best, imo.
All these songs are great: Rhiannon Crystal (altho' Lindsey sings the lead vocal) Landslide Silver Springs Dreams Gold Dust Woman Sara Storms Sisters Of The Moon Angel Beautiful Child Beyond Tusk her best contributions to FM were Fireflies (from the 1980 live album), Gypsy from Mirage and Thrown Down, Goodbye Baby and the title track from Say You Will. Solo, her best works are the first two albums, Bella Donna & The Wild Heart.

I love me some Stevie Nicks. she is dope as hell. I wish she would put out another album. How did you guys feel about "trouble in shangrila"? I thought it was good but I haven't listened to it for ages now. Bella Donna is the album to own by her as well as "the wild hearts"! [Edited 3/28/05 10:11am]

I love Stevie....but why? She already released a boxed set and it's not like she's had any major hits since 1991's Best Of....Not enough hits worthy of a new Best Of anyway.

If you want Stevie's best material with Fleetwood Mac, you must have the TUSK album! Beautiful Child, Storms, Angel and of course, SARA. ALL CLASSICS!
Solo wise- BELLADONNA is a must have - I'm partial b/c "How Still My Love" is one of my favorite songs. WILD HEART is my second fave solo record and TROUBLE IN SHANGRI LA is my third. I'm more partial to her stuff with Fleetwood Mac b/c Lindsey Buckingham produced it all...he added the magic...believe me he did - if you hear raw demos of GYPSY or GOODBYE BABY compared with the album tracks, you will know why Lindsey is Stevie's musical soulmate! If you can get your hands on the MIRAGE Live DVD (from 1982 - the VHS is OOP but the "unofficial" DVD is on eBay) - this is A MUST HAVE...while stevie is probably in such a "coked out" state - she gives one of the most rocking performances...she will have you in a trance - I'm not kidding...the woman starts speaking in tongue. SHE rocks my world. [Edited 3/28/05 14:45pm] Let the rain come down...17 days....

Maybe I'm crazy, but I love "Rock A Little". It's fun and upbeat at times ("I Can't Wait", "If I Were You") and very still and beautiful at others ("Some Become Strangers", " "I Sing For the Things") and then sometimes is just rocks ("No Spoken Word"). I really like every song on there and each has it's own style.

I love NO SPOKEN WORD, I CAN'T WAIT and I SING FOR THE THINGS. [Edited 3/28/05 15:15pm] Let the rain come down...17 days....

So, Stevie's releasing another "Best Of"?
Hmm, maybe this will coincide with her Vegas dates, and the Summer tour with Henley. I hope there are a couple new tracks! [Edited 3/28/05 16:19pm]

I would say both "Wild Heart" and "BellaDonna" compete for second place, maybe with "Wild Heart" winning out based just on "Stand Back" (not say the "BellaDonna" hit singles where anything to sneeze at).

Unless it's not a real greatest hits and ends up being something like "Stevie Nicks Gold"/"Essentail Stevie Nicks"/Stevie Nicks: 20th Century Masters", etc. That I find believable.

NOTHING EVER CHANGES, SABLE ON BLOND and WILD HEART are the three standout tracks. "The Wild Heart", based on my memory of those tracks and "Run To You" with Petty, there was sort of a contry vibe (which can really be heard on "After the Glitter Fades" off "Bella Donna").
