Being fans of both sometimes you get heckeled about their bizarre behavior so I figured, let's list them.

Prince:
name change - still hearing about it today
height - he didn't ask for it
voice - high/low voice in the way he does it drive women crazy
dress - it is different
gay - always w/beautiful women

MJ:
countless number of surgeries - it's his perogative
sleeping w/boys - come on Mike!!! u r setting yourself up for that one
shopping sprees - it's his money!!!
playing with dolls - ????
not having relationships with women - i guess internet porn could count??
gay - trial is on going, but one can hope he is not

list some others please.

Strange to who? We have as many dimensions to our character as we have people percieivng it.

Prince is definitely more "normal" than Michael Jackson:

He doesn't have the self-hatred that Michael seems to have, meaning he doesn't lighten his skin and surgically change his facial features.
He has relationships with and surrounds himself with women, not young children.
His homes are that of an adult, not an amusement park.

I'm not coming down on MJ, but his behavior is not that of a normal adult and that may very well be due to the fact that his childhood was not normal. He didn't have much of one. That could have affected him mentally and resulted in him try to live the fantasy life of a child, the same way that maybe someone who was repressed in some way might run wild at first chance.

I dislike the word strange. I think their identities as black performers are very interesting. Is their effeminate persona part of them or part of their expression. How does that correlate with older black performers like James brown or little Richard? Are they really effeminate? Are Black performers expected to be Macho? How many well-known Black performers have outed themselves? When P said “Plus, I thought he was gay” in LOP was he talking about mike?.

As a kid in the 80’s me and my friends wondered if they were a gay couple. Even though I grew up in a Gay household, I think the music in the 80’s, unlike today, fostered a healthy interest in gay life and culture.

I agree that Prince is a unique and beautiful person while Michael Jackson is a world wide joke. I hope that more people could see Prince the way we do...
