I love all those tracks you mentioned, especially Fight the Youth, Bonin' in the Boneyard and Pray to the Junkie Maker. Along the same lines as that last one, I really dug their remake of Freddy's Dead. It was actually the first version of that song that I heard. I wasn't too big a fan of the Give a Monkey a Brain album. It was too grunge for me. I liked the whole grunge sound, but it wasn't what I wanted in Fishbone.

That's their best album if you axe me. Ma and Pa Question of Life Pouring Rain and I especially love Change. Reality of My Surroundings was the first album of theirs that I bought, but Truth and Soul is what made me love them. I saw them on tour in 1993. They put on a great show.

I think it would be easier if you asked what my least favorite Fishbone tracks were.
Funny you should bring them up, I just watched that new dvd they have out (though they ask that you not buy it). It shows them in the studio recording tracks for an upcoming album (that has yet to be release! ) anyways after the second viewing I realized that I was hearing some of the best stuff they've done in years!! You can also see Dirty Walt on his way out the door. There seemed to be a lot of tension between him and Angelo, he was also looking very unmotivated. Anyways.....

You're right , and Walt is gone now...Just Angelo and Norwood, of the original lineup.... But I gotta check out that DVD.... There u go pali, hoggin' up all the banging tracks! Living in Southern Cali all my life, and Fishbone beeing an L.A. band, I had the advantage of seeing Fishbone and The Peppers (another L.A. band)live and up close on more than a few shows in small venues. Fishbone live, is no joke. Their albums don't do their live shows justice. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

See Pali, you make it almost impossible for me to add anything new to this thread, because you've already listed everything that I like. I see you even have "Cholly" on there.
I think if I had to name some favorites though, I'd have to go with "Fight the Youth", "Lemon Meringue" and "Sunless Saturday". And "Slick Nick" is always a cheery holiday tune. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

drunken schizo and housework really get me going.slow bus moving(howard beach party) and ma and pa are jams ,as well.there isn't much by them that I don't like.I'm appreciative for this thread.I didn't realize they had 2 dvd's and live cd.I have wanted a live recording of theirs for like,10 years. Is there a cd w/ the lineup from the Reality era? I plan on ordering these 3 from amazon this weekend. The last thing of theirs I purchased was the psychotic Nettwerk cd w/ghuests like Les Claypool,G clinton, etc.Fishbone is one of the baddest bands to ever grace ...anything.I have never gotten to see them live.Years ago, they had a special cobncert on pay-per-view and I wasn't able to get it due to fundage and I thought it would surface as an album or dvd,but it hasn't.
