Whatever happened to Tyrese, TQ, Tank and all them other T's?

Where are they?

Have you noticed that male R&B singers will have one or two hits and then disappear from the face of the earth?

Where's...

Donell Jones
Jesse Powell
Rome
Tank
Jaheim
Ruff Endz

What's up with these male R&B singers?

I don't know where all them fine ass muthafuckers went to but I bet they are still out there. Usher is making it kinda hard for other R&B men.
Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Haters are annoyed and roll thier eyes when klhk is paid a compliment. ask yourself, are u a hater?

Well, Tyresse is doing just fine. I just saw him in a movie called, Flight of The Phoenix where he actually plays a major role.

As far as the music goes - those guys are all doing the same tired bland of bump n grind R&B and it's getting a little stale. Besides Jahiem, (who has sold over 1 million copies of both of his albums) I'm not sure if the others can withstand the forever-evolving change in R&B music.

Also, Hip-hop is still selling twice as much as those artist you just mentioned. Rome, Tank, Tyrese - they blend in too much and don't really offer the listener anything different or exceptional. Now, Jesse Powel's voice stands out a little..and Donnel Jones has a new song out. Ruff Endz is corny (LOL) and should not be on that list..

So there U have it... biggrin

Thanks for the explanation.

Where's Joe? Haven't heard much from him after the success of "Stutter."

I agree with you. It seems like a lot of these R&B guys dont have much versatility. I mean, at least Beyonce and other female artists can change their hair or play around with their look. With the males, it seems like their stuck singing either the bump n grind ballad, the I-wont-do-you-wrong-like-that-other-muthafucka ballad, the I've-been-cheated-on ballad or the I'll-give-you-everything-in-the-world ballad. BALLADS, BALLADS, BALLADS. We need males that can do some uptempo stuff. Ursher's the only R&B guy doing that right now. Plus, he dances and puts on a show. I don't like the guy's music, but at least he puts in some effort. Sisqo was trying to give a show too, but it seems like R&B males are so concerned with being hard and thuggish.

Joe recently resurged on r&b charts with a song called "more & more" . Jaheim was featured on nelly's hit "my place". tank was a complete waste of time in the talent department, he really was just eye candy for horny women. Ruff endz had a hit last year with a song called "do you right"( bored)Donnell Jones had a minor hit in 2003 with "hold me down"
Rome... wasn't built in a day(neither was his career) and as for tyrese he was just awful in "2 fast 2 furious" and "how u gonna act like that" is ur typical ,ghetto baby-mama-drama bullshit ballad that i've come to expect from today's r&b singers

TQ left Cash Money Records like 2 years and released an album called "Listen..." last year in August.

Im surprised this album didn't catch anyone's radar here since there's a remake of Prince's "Adore" on it. The album is pretty good, but of course, it got slept-on. He had a video for "Right On" which didnt get that much play on television.

While he was on Cash Money, he was working on an album called "Gemini", but it was never released. And all TQ pretty much did over there on that label was sing hooks and make cameo appearances in their videos. Basically, he was just another tax-write-off artist.

Lately, he just did a song and video with Soulcrew called "Boyfriend-Girlfriend"; he's one Kurupt's new Greatest Hits album; and he's about to release a European album sometime either in the spring or summer.

You got to the site from news and information on him.

We'll probably never hear or see Rome again. He went independent after his 1st album. He'll mostly likely be remembered as one-hitter.

Jahiem is about to come back out. He just did a song with Beanie Sigel called "The Truth '05". It beens on alot of different mixtapes. I got it on my computer. You wanna hear it, let me know.

Donell Jones has a new song on with Fat Joe called "U Make Me" - thats been a few mixtapes too.

Ruff Endz (fake-ass K-Ci&JoJo) probably somewhere in the studio tryna make a new hit. Same as Jesse Powell & Tank.

And last I heard about Tyrese he was still black.

I'm glad I haven't heard from K-Ci & Jo-Jo. After "All My Life" they need to stay far, far away from the limelight.
