Thank you. Whitney has an addiction, and for those of you fortunate not to have one, to assume she's doing drugs for shits and giggles and call her out her name is wrong. So, yes, she would have had a longer career if she weren't with him (assuming that also means she wouldn't be a druggie). Thanks for pointing that out. Whitney found a new groove with "My Love", even though it intially didn't do just based on the Mariah duet, a power ballad. However, it did something sort of revolutionary with the singles after that...the hits came from drastic remixes (altough it would be fair to say "Heartbreak Hotel" did well in the origial form but the remix helped)! If she would have done a full on dance album to follow it up a few years later, with a few ballads and/or midtempo R&B tracks, it would have been fucking gangbusters! But what happened...Bobbay and his sad influence over a somewhat decent R&B album, "Just Whitney". | |

Sorry, I've never heard about any drug abuse before she met Bobby. You got a source or was this just through the Glenn Medeiros grapevine? U ain't gonna beleive this (this is crazy) but I knew a guy who's dad sold Whitney some crack once some years back (this info was proberly given to me around 1993 so I imagine dad sold it to her late 80's). I know it sounds stupid and varying on the insane, but hey, thats what i heard. | |

I know she grew up singing in church and all, and that her family seemed to be religious. But they always say that opposites attract, which seems to be the case with Whitney and Bobby. RIP, mom. ...I find it interesting that everyone is so quick to lay blame on Bobby for her problems...she knew what he was all about when she met him..she chose to live that lifestyle, thats if she wasn't already living it before...for all we know, she turned Bobby out...I'll never understand why this woman has been held in such high regard...in my opinion, she always presented herself as a "better than you" bitch...I don't think the term "crack ho" is too harsh for Whitney, I think it's appropriate....of course thats all because I can't stand the woman...
That being said, I hope she overcomes her problem and concentrates on being a mother...this has to be taking a toll on their daughter.. | |
