i was (am?) deeply moved by metal
but admitedly, was into the 'cross-over'/hardcore stuff: suicidal tendencies (first two albums) danzig (first three albums) warzone agnostic front bad brains (pickin' up what i'm puttin' down?) posture your mandables towards the sky
and oscilate them in an apathetic manner throw your hands in the air and wave 'em like you just don't care

I killed a few brain cells listening to these albums/bands. [Edited 3/24/05 8:07am] a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

I have to go with everything you listed. I'll add the Cro-Mags and early Biohazard as well. I was never really into straight forward metal, but more hardcore punk and thrash metal. I can appreciate metal more now, than I could back in the day though. i'd also like to mention a 'nother underated gem:
type o negative: slow, deep and hard (sexist? sure... racist? possibly... rockin'? for sure) [Edited 3/24/05 9:10am] posture your mandables towards the sky
and oscilate them in an apathetic manner throw your hands in the air and wave 'em like you just don't care

I prefer Metal Church's Blessing in Disguise. "Badlands" rocks.

I have to recommend some old Tourniquet...here are some samples:
http://www.tourniquet.net...akfast.mp3 http://www.tourniquet.net...surate.mp3 (check out the drum fills!) http://www.tourniquet.net...ascoso.mp3 (a great instrumental) When the sunlight strikes raindrops in the air, they act as a prism and form a rainbow. The rainbow is a division of white light into many beautiful colors. Regardless of the day, I'm glad you were born.

http://www.artistdirect.c...78,00.html Blessing in Disguise was great, but it doesn't stand out, when compared to Megadeth's Countdown.

I don't think I can even find them anymore. They're probably in my parents basement somewhere.
