Rene Diggs of Starpoint passed away

Friday. Didn't see what the cause was. Man I loved her voice and that band. Sorry if this has already been posted.

how sad. their big hit was "object of my desire", but "til the end of time" is one of the underrated slow jams of the 80's. RIP sad

The first Starpoint song I ever heard was "It's All Yours". It represents a time when I was just discovering music in the early 80s. How sad. I still have the 7" of "Restless".

"So Delicious" was my favorite album of theirs. I might be the biggest Starpoint fan on these boards. I know Davideye is well versed on Starpoint too.

RIP, Renee...I was a Starpoint fan in the '80s.

She also did a song with Michael Franks that was cool.

Sorry to hear this. My favorite Starpoint was their 1981 jam called "Keep On It" back when they were on Casablanca/Chocolate City Records. Not too many people remember that jam.

Keep on it.....on the one. We're having lots of fun! Woa!

Keep on the one, let's have some fun...just, keep on the one.

I like the freak, and you like the freak, and we like the freak just keep on it!

My favorite Starpoint jam is "Delicious" from 1983.I love that swaggering groove and the very sexy lyrics ("Can I have...seconds?")
