I remember the cartoon...

We've got a gorilla for sale
Magilla Gorilla for sale
Wont you, buy him
Take him home and try him
Gorilla for sale

...but not that particular episode.

However the subject of "surf music" is a familiar one.
Probably the 1st R&R based instrumentals I heard.
Using the clean sounding Fender guitars
(Strat, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Precision Bass)
and amps (Showman, Dual Showman, Twins)

The Chantays - Pipeline
The Pyramids - Penetration
The Surfaris - Wipe Out
The Ventures - Walk Don't Run, Perfidia

and the "King of the Surf Guitar" (and lefty/upside down guitar brethren)...

...Dick Dale & the Del-Tones - Miserlou

Of course you've also got all The Beach Boys and Jan & Dean hits.

Take it from me, on some levels, it's a pain in the a$$. confused
But since I learned that way from the beginning, I don't even think about it anymore.

That's just the way it is

See, I'm left handed, but I can't imagine playing upside down.
I learned to play right-handed. Maybe I should buy a lefty geetar?

Good luck. lol
I had a lefty guitar strung properly (for a lefty) for a bit.
It felt like I was starting from ground zero. Too frustrating. disbelief

Maybe you've got more patience than I do. wink

I remember the name Magilla Gorilla, but not the cartoon.

George of the Jungle, that I remember somewhat. HR Puff n Stuff. giggle

The funkiest cartoon theme I remember is from Fat Albert.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.
