I like the modulation of this list. the way a lot of songs
are played two times back2back is simply amazing.

seems like the kind of party you could dance yourself into

biggrin I only got their albums a few months ago (remember I did a thread about their late 80's-early 90's albums) and I used to skip "bodyguard" until recently. I would love to c the video. Should be sexy. It is a long track, yet it does not get dull. Seriously underlooked track.

Album "one" is neat in places. First 4 tracks are killer.

"e.s.p" is better though, so is "high civilisation".

It was my fave from that album since I first heard it. smile

I actually prefer One to both of those. It's a little more laid back but I think the style suits them better. E.S.P. has that horrid echo ridden 80's production and High Civilization is, ummm... an interesting album. But I don't warm to either of them them very well. But there's good songs on both.

And yeah, I remember your thread. I think there was only about three of us who posted on it. lol

yeah not a popular thread and I was happy a few replied. I love "E.s.p" for the reasons why u hate it!

Some of "High civilisation" is great. "secret love" "dimensions" (I lent this to a non bee gees fan and he loved it- he loves newjack though and the beat is funky) and the distubing "human sacrifice".

Fav is "when he's gone" though. Gorgeous track. Lovely, lush harmonies on the chorus. Nice end guitar solo. Lovely sound and sentiment.

I used to like E.S.P. very much. I don't think it's a bad album, it's just one I don't play very often these days. Love the title track, You Win Again, Live Or Die and The Longest Night. All great songs.

High Civilization is an odd album to me. It just sounds like they were trying too hard to be relevant. It's playful, tho'. I think the title track is my fave on there. I like Ghost Train, Dimensions and Evolution, too. Sounds like they were having fun. But I kinda favour the more straight forward tracks like Secret Love and Happy Ever After. They sound more like the Bee Gees, I guess.

I saw them on tour with that album, too. biggrin
