OK, I know this is my thread but I recommend that people check out Towa Tei (any album). He used to be with Dee-Lite and his solo stuff is very cool. From Bossa Nova to cracked out electronic ventures and everywhere inbetween. This man picked up where Dee-Lite left off. Thank God he kept making music

Now if only Kier had. If only.... Those mo-fos should have never broken up And I will recommend Dee-Lite's "Dewdrops in the Garden". 11 years later and that thing is still a musical masterpiece. Wanna take a ride, pop this shit in your player and hold on 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

trashoblanco said: I LOVE these album covers. I've been meaning to hear what Yma Sumac sounds like because a few years ago, I read a review for Portishead's self titled album and they were saying that Beth's voice was influenced by Yma Sumac's on some of the songs. And I love the way Beth sings on their second album, so I gotta hear Yma Sumac now. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
