what do you think the first song is gonna be? i'm still betting on love and pece or else but everyone around the venue seems to think its gonna be vertigo. i guess we'll know in about 15 minutes...
some people are giving periodical updates...kings of leon ended about 20 minutes ago and the techies were just checking edge's guitar. they'll probably be going on in about 10 or 15 minutes. i don't think i've ever been this psyched about a concert i'm not attending, lol!

Minus Elevation (and plus a Zooropa or Pop song), this set-list is worthy. I'm wondering which songs are going to be the rotating ones, and which ones will stick around for the duration. Here's hoping that Running to Stand Still is a permanent member of the setlist. I'll be so upset if other people get to hear it and I don't! I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

The stage looks interesting.
I like it when artists have fanky ass stage designs

i would be thrilled if yahweh, running to stand still, bullet, and love and peace or else are played every night. i think the ones that will change the most frequently, though, are the new songs.

Wow. U2 fans are quick! the coolest thing about it is that i found the link on a thread at u2.com. the thread had a very obvious title - something like "download u2 in san diego here" - yet nobody yanked it. i guess they figure what difference does it make if people download the shows; all of the dates are sold out anyway. this isn't the first time i've wished prince would take a cue from the irish quartette...

this isn't the first time i've wished prince would take a cue from the irish quartette... Yeah. They as a band seem a lot more relaxed about that whole thing than their record company does. Bono's always like, "I'm overpaid as it is." So who is that in your new avvie? Larry?

this isn't the first time i've wished prince would take a cue from the irish quartette... Yeah. They as a band seem a lot more relaxed about that whole thing than their record company does. Bono's always like, "I'm overpaid as it is." So who is that in your new avvie? Larry? yeah, its larry...dreamy isn't he? anyway, its kind of funny how the band is regarding business. i once read an interview with bono wherein he discusses a conversation he had with prince. apparantly, u2 own all their masters and prince asked him how it was they managed to succeed in owning and retaining ownership of these master recordings. bono said, quite simply, the band takes a hit on residuals and royalties. they make far less money on royalties than bands that don't own their masters. i have to wonder if prince ever tried to take this route or if he thinks he should get decent royalties AND own the masters...
