Listen to clips of Mariah's new album here!

Linked pulled by ANXIETY

Definitely her best stuff in years. Certainly it sounds a lot looser and more organic than probably anything she's done. Some real 70's vibes on some of the tracks, and a few sound like she's trying to channel the early 80's club scene (a la Glitter).

Oh, and her voice is back.

So, people, if you want to hear the exact same clips I posted originally, head on over to Amazon and find 'em for yourselves.

No, I was just making the comparison. I don't see what this has to do with anything, however. lol

How many tracks on the album? Not many ballads, she doesn't seem to hit the really high notes anymore.

Sounds good...I'm not a fan, so I can't compare it to last few albums. Were they as bad as people said?

But those clips are available from amazon and best buy websites, so we should be able to posts it here?
I heard the clips and the album is def a mix of 80's and 70's soul.

Nice to see they the "live band" stayed on the album (on 8 of the tracks!), it really sounds like a luther, Patti or Debarge album from tha 80's!! mixed with really cool breezy 70's soul/pop.
I was really suprised by the Kanye West produced track "stay the night" it's along the lines on "u don't know my name" but more organic.
I think you'll have to be cynic to completely hate on this album, it's really Mariah's first "r&B" album not a "schamlty track in site" the ballads are very soulfull as are the dance tracks, her most mature album?? (except "It's like that" which stands out like a sore thumb, it has "made for clearchannel" written all over it)
If only we could post the samples on here, I think you guys will really dig this album,.sad
