When Missy first came out she was one of the most innovative rappers i'd heard in a very long time. Her peak, in my opinion was on "Miss E so additctive". She was at her best fusing hip hop with bhangra and other funky sounds. I still give her, her props but her last 2 cds were kind of weak. I would love to see her come back with some crazy off the wall shit that will blow everyone away. Now we have M.I.A who I think was probably influenced by Missy. Her new cd Arular is the best shit i've heard in hip hop since Missy! Do you think if Missy hears MIA she'll be inspired to create some new hot shit? How cool would it be if they toured togther.

Every review I've read about M.I.A has compared her to Missy, I don't hear much similarity, though I don't know much of Missy's besides the stuff I've heard on the radio which I seldom listen to.

Do you really consider M.I.A hip-hop? Sounds more dancehall/ragga to me.
