PrintableMost of Phyllis Hyman's songs were really depressing. The ones I think about are "Living All Alone" and "I Don't Want to Lose You." You hear about her suicide and wonder whether her music was a cry for help.
Also, if you listen to the first few songs of Toni Braxton's first album, you'd think she was another Phyllis Hyman in training.
