So what? Well, a few reasons:

a) She had nothing to do with any of the nominated films, or the music contained within. Yet she performed 3 of the songs.

Gimmickry sells, can't be mad at her for the exposure she wants. None of you were mad at old ass Maddy being everywhere

b) She can't sing in French and make it tolerable (honestly, if you've heard real French, you know it was a pretty terrible performance). They should have at the very least picked a fluently French vocalist. Do you hire Britney Spears to sing at the Latin Grammys? No.

For one thing Brit can't sing ANY language to save her ass from getting fried. Beyonce has a decent voice IMHO. And you're right, I don't know French so I guess my judgment of her pre4mance may not be as 'accurate' but I still stand by what I said.

Celine Dion came from Quebec Canada butchering our English Language but you don't hear us Americans bitching. That actress needs to shut the fuck up and deal with it.

Sorry, I still think it was completely inane for Bayawnsay to sing 3 of the 5 nominated songs. On top of this they refused to let Jorge Drexler perform his nominated song (and the one that eventually won) because he wasn't a "name". Many people associated with The Motorcycle Diaries boycotted the Oscars because of this. The performances this year were ludicrous.
