France Not Ready For Beyonce's Jelly?

From SFGate.com

DELPY: 'BEYONCE'S OSCAR SONG OFFENDED THE FRENCH'

Actress Julie Delpy has accused Beyonce Knowles of offending her fellow French citizens -- by "murdering" their language during her performance of "Vois Sur Ton Chemin" at last month's Oscars.
The "Before Sunrise" beauty was disgusted by Knowles' rendition of the Gallic song, from the movie "Les Choristes (The Chorus)," because it sounded like she was singing in Chinese.

Delpy complains, "Beyonce singing in French -- it sounds like she's crooning in strong Chinese.

"I swear to God, to French people it was like being stabbed in the heart."

nod Hell Yeah. For Example, Celine Deion came from Quebec Canada butchering our English Language but you don't hear us Americans bitching. That actress needs to shut the fuck up and deal with it.

"I always watch with interest the Oscars year after year. There is just something about this enormously out of proportion self-congratulatory Hollywood pow-wow. Despite all the potential shark jumping through the years, the show in my view has never quite fully jumped. But this year in my book it did. What the hell was this thing Beyonce was supposed to have sung in French? I am a French speaking Canadian and trust me that was not French. I did not understand a single word she barked out.(same thing for the boys choir!) That was the most disgusting and awful performance ever. What were they thinking??? Nobody in Hollywood speaks enough French to do this number...Why pick this broad that can't say yes or no in French to save her life! Awful, awful, awful.... I have seen the movie and heard the song. It is a beautiful song. To massacre it like that it is simply not acceptable. Hollywood is rolling in money, would it have been such a crime to have the original singer and choir on the show. Shame! Also shame on you the brilliant organizer that thought that having a winner receive is oscar from somewhere in the middle of an aisle would be a good idea. Double jump!"

lol It was a JOKE on her part, people. Besides, she's not alone. Why the fuck was Bayawnsay singing 3 songs, anyway? Original vocalists weren't good enough?

Hah! The French-speaking French would find this rant really ironic.

Sorry, I still think it was completely inane for Bayawnsay to sing 3 of the 5 nominated songs. On top of this they refused to let Jorge Drexler perform his nominated song (and the one that eventually won) because he wasn't a "name". Many people associated with The Motorcycle Diaries boycotted the Oscars because of this. The performances this year were ludicrous.
