I have a confession to make...as little as I know about Clapton's work, I know even less about Cream. There's really no excuse for it either; not more than 10 feet from me, is just about every Cream/Clapton album ever released. I kinda look at it as my boyfriend's music. smile Those are his favorites.

You really don't have much to wade through...

Fresh Cream
I Feel Free
Spoonful
I'm So Glad

Disraeli Gears
Strange Brew
Sunshine of Your Love
Tales of Brave Ulysses
Outside Woman Blues

Wheels of Fire (part live - part studio)
White Room
Sitting on Top of the World
Politician
Born Under a Bad Sign
Deserted Cities Of The Heart
Crossroads
- live (Some of Clapton's best playing)
Spoonful - live

and the aptly titled Goodbye (part live - part studio)
Badge (featuring George Harrison)

...as this is the extent of the albums that were released while the group was actually together.

Clapton at his most ferocious.

The post-mortem live stuff is good also if you can get beyond Jack Bruce's Mel Schacher-like (Grand Funk Railroad) bass tone.

Yes, they will reunite for a concert. A certain Orger who has yet to post in this thread auctioned off all her personal belongings so she'd be able to go. smile

Actually it was at a Frank Zappa/Mothers of Invention show at the Garrick Theatre in Greenwich Village (where Hendrix sat in sometime in '66) that he 1st came in contact with a wah-wah pedal.

I always read that Hendrix first heard Clapton use it, thus being another reason Jimi wanted to met Eric when he first arrived to London in 66.
