Irene Cara Apart from the 'Fame' OST and Flashdance, did she do anything else of note? I always liked her voice. Is she up to anything these days?

Did she write/co-write the song she won for? That's funny. I have her "Flashdance" album (actually, it's a import reissue with some extras). It wasn't bad but basically it's really feels like the album Donna Summer never (gladly) made with Girigio in the mid-eighties.

I liked "Flashdance", "Fame", "Out here on my own", "Why Me" and "Breakdance".
She was on that "Discoball" TV special a few years ago with Cheryl Lynn, Martha Wash, Taylor Dayne and others.

She recorded a well-received solo album in 1983.It was produced by Giorgio Moroder and featured the hits "Why Me","You Were Made For Me" and "Breakdance".A year later, she appeared in the movie 'D.C. Cab',and recorded the theme song "The Dream".She then faded from view.
