What about Trixter, they were pretty bad! You have to give them props for starting grunge and being the first ones to rock flannel shirts.

Well I probably shouldn't be posting in this thread cuz I love cheesy 80s/early 90s hair bands -for what it's worth, I thought the Nelson twins were great songwriters. ANd I do like that song LOVE AND AFFECTION.

Well, Robert Plant DID used to wear women's blouses with puffy sleeves in '73 with his jeans he was poured into. falloff Somehow, he pulled it off though IMO. nod These guys look like they took it a little too far. Maybe it's the lace-up white shirt, the acid-wash jeans, and the PINK satin coat. falloff

Although I have seen Prince in FAR more outlandish get-ups. whistling

I think what makes that outfit so attrocious is the cotton candy colored pink coat. Robert Plant looked hot when he wore his frilly shirts and tight bell bottom jeans. These guys just look ridiculous even for that decade.

I actually had Nelson's tape back in the day and it was very fluffy pop rock. No balls what so ever but the songs were catchy enough i guess.

I don't think I even know a Nelson song off the top of my head, but I'm sure I'd recognize one if someone played one for me.

I actually saw them perform at a fourth of July event back in 97 I think. They still had their long hair, but those frilly outfits where gone.
It was a free show at the event, and it took place on St Pete's peir here in Tampabay.

Anyways, I've always hated this act just becuase of the instantly repellent video image they projected in the 80's. But I have to say, they did an all accoustic set, and it was actually pretty impressive. They're not super excellent musicians, but they're good. And there harmony's where spot on.
Unfortunately, I still can't stand them, but I dont' hate them as much.

I was very drunk that day, so my tolerance to them was probably increased. Who knows.

That's a shame. I saw their concert a few weeks ago and it was awesome. The guys are still in their prime (ok, maybe 3 out of the 4 - Mick Mars sounded aweseome but his doctors have said he should probably retire b/c of his spinal cord disease or something like that)

It was one of the most rauchy shows I've ever been to and it rocked my world! Of course I also laughed at 40 year olds in the audience who were decked out in spandex. THere were a few men who brought their young kids - couldn't figure that out. And of course, the girls with the 1988 hair that were letting men around them take pictures of them flashing their boobs. I opted not to do that - perhaps if Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx had brought their "Boob Cam" out to my section, I would have reconsidered. razz

Anyone remember Faster Pussycat? I was unlucky enough to see 'em open for Poison a few years back. As terrible of a show as Poison played, Pussycat was worse. They remain the absolute worst thing I've ever seen in concert. Terrible.

Great White sucks?! Jack Russell is a great rock vocalist. Mark Kendall is a very respected and talented blues rock guitarist...talented, unlike most of the sorry bands that are mentioned here. Cheese metal is Glam Metal, and Great White is not glam nor metal. Don't judge Great White on only one song you've heard!

Drivin' and Cryin' is a good band too..and sooo not metal..they shouldn't even be involved in this thread..they're more of a southern, sing-a-long, college rock band...had some good songs.."Fly Me Courageous" and "Straight To Hell" probably being most recognized...their album "Mystery Road" is a classic and should be in any rock lovers collection..my favorite song of theirs is "Honeysuckle Blue"..doesn't even sound like a metal song, does it...?

can't spell edit...

I'm about to verbally kill all of you on this one:

Warrent!!!

One song comes to mind: Cherry Pie

The video vixen: Bobbi Brown (aka The original queen of all video hoes in every rock or rap videos that we see today!!!).

THAT WOMAN was the only reason why I ever liked that song back in 1990. Otherwise, the band (Warrent) was cheesy as Kraft Cheese!
