Anyone remember Deion Sanders?

One of my heroes as a kid dropped a rap album in 1995. Like Shaq's albums, these are gangster lite but still with some good beats though. As far a I know, this album didn't do too well.

Dropped in 1995 on Mc Hammers Bustit records (yet Hammers albums never came out on Bustit records though- WTF?), it has some groovy tracks.

Lyrically he raps about being able to play both American football and baseball but it don't come across as arrogent though. Yeah it ain't good all the way through but some cuts are dope!

Mr Prime time himself does well on:-

Prime time keeps on ticking
Must be the money
Say hi to mr bad guy
It ain't over yet
Movin' (he disses Spike Lee back)

U know its time to hear Mr Prime!

I actually remember seeing the video for "Must Be The Money".
Dawg, I was not impressed. lol
And no, I gave Shaq not a dime....

I remember the video. Him being on Hammers label was not the best move to get cred. But he was like hammer as he was always positive if with an ego of course.

Remember the duet they did together. "straight to my feet". I love that song.

Deion had the greatest publicity agent of all time. Deion was a good athelete with atheletic skills, but he was a lousey football player. His good plays got replayed over and over again. His poor plays as a defensive player never got mentioned. When did you ever see Deion come up to the line to stop a run? Or blitz? The fact is Deion shyed away from contact in a contact sport.

At least Shaq had...

fu-schnickens to practice on first.
(I don't believe it helped him any)

Btw, I have no clue whether those guys were good or bad.

The one trick that made The Fu-Schnickens worth a listen was the fast rapping style of the Jamacian guy, he could also rap his verses backwards, OOOOHHH! As you can see they didn't last long.

It's those kinds of wise investments, Hammer, that have us all wondering why you're broke now?

Shaq-Fu was 10 times better than Deion. lol He did have some corny lyrics, but he stayed in the game longer than Deion. "Biological Didn't Bother".....those lyrics were so corny, "Phil, is my father, my biological didn't bother" giggle And "Shoot,Pass,Slam"....falloff I can't believe he even had a Greatests Hits album. I love Shaq and all of his corniness, but I'd like to know who actually bought his Greatest Hits album.

There's nothing more funny than seeing professional atheletes tryna rap. Do y'all remember that song Kobe Bryant & Tyra Banks did together? LMAO! I always died laughing when I heard Columbia shelved his album.

I will admit I bought the tape and loved it!!! (I used to be a Braves fan) I think it was great for what it was, a funny feel good album that made you dance.

You're right, the music itself isn't that bad. It's a crap remake of sorts of a good dance song - Secret Weapon's Must Be the Music. Get that tune instead.
