stevie nicks to play vegas Stevie Nicks will begin a four-night stand at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas on May 10, under the moniker "Dreams." "I am looking forward to it because it's a chance to play and do something where you don't really have to travel," the artist said backstage last night (March 14) at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York.
"So, for me, as an almost 57-year-old woman, this looks very good, because it means you can put all of your energy into the show as opposed to traveling all over the United States," she added. "It would be a nice thing for me to be able to do until I'm a very old, little old lady." Nicks says the show will consist of "favorite songs, which you don't always get to do. This is a chance for me to go back through all those many, many years and pick out a few songs I haven't always done. It's always exciting to do some new music." The artist would not comment on reports that she will tour this summer with Don Henley, saying only, "I can't talk about that because I'm not sure. I really don't know." As for Fleetwood Mac, which played nearly 140 shows in support of the 2003 comeback album "Say You Will," Nicks says, "We're just resting right now, because we feel that as all wonderful things go, you come out and you make a big show of it, and then you go away for a little bit and rest, so when you come back, it's all wonderful again." Added drummer Mick Fleetwood, who held Nicks' hand tightly while answering questions, "I think there's always a Fleetwood Mac story somewhere." Asked if longtime member Christine McVie would ever return to the fold, he replied, "I think [the chances are] very, very slim [or] next to nothing, so I will say no. But we miss her."

You really think Stevie felt that way about her? I really don't know much about it. I can't say I really like Cristine McVie's voice, though "lies' is a great song. Stevie on another hand has a great voice (in my opinion) and i'd love to see her in concert.

Stevie Nicks is the main reason for me to buy a Fleetwood Mac album.
I was disappointed when Christine left, but whatever. I did not buy her solo album last year.

No, I'm sorry, sos wasn't being nasty, but your response was. That's a ridiculous thing to say, honestly, sassy. I don't think people got a chuckle out of it - I certainly don't normally associate child abuse with chuckles. Especially since you appeared completely serious about it. If you sarcastically asked someone that on the street, they wouldn't chuckle, they'd probably punch your face in.

y'all are saying some of the most ignorant things in this thread...it was never stevie v. christine...in fact, stevie WROTE the song SAY YOU WILL about Chrisitne, wanting her to come back. Chris knew Stevie was the "sex symbol" in the band back in the day and she says to this day that she was ok with it.
And for all you Lindsey Buckingham bashers...where do you think all of Stevie's successful fleetwood mac songs came from? [Edited 3/15/05 18:08pm] Let the rain come down...17 days....
