With all these good old TV shows, why the hell does "TV Land" only play a handful several times a day? That's rediculous! They could play one episode per day and play a wide variety of shows.

They suck for that very reason. I also think they did away with "Kitchsen", which played campy and beloved but not neccssarily popular shows like "Square Pegs" (also a great theme). It's probably all about money and it's much cheaper to show a handful of hits, in some cases, repeating the episodes througout the day than playing a bunch of different show.

Which one is that? The best is the original U.S. verison with Casey Kasem. Without the 7-Zark-7 bits.

That would be Battle of the Planets. G-Force used the same cartoons, yet with different voice overs, new name for the Robot adn different plots. I thought it was horrid.

More contemporary faves are 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' (Nerf Herder) and 'Angel' (Darling Violetta). I'm hoping there will be an Angel soundtrack compiled one day since the theme song isn't on any of the Darling Violetta albums.

Thank You for Being a Friend was actually a top 40 hit in the 1970s (1975, I believe) for Andrew Gold. I'm a big GG fan (duh), but it wasn't an original theme song.

I wondered when someone would mention Garry Shandling.

"This is the theme to Garry's show
The theme to Garry's show
Garry called me up and asked
If I would write his theme song

I'm almost halfway finished,
How do you like it so far?
How do you like the theme to Garry's show?

This is the theme to Garry's show
The opening theme to Garry's show
This is the music that you hear,
As you watch the credits

We're almost to the part
Of where I start to whistle
Then we'll watch It's Garry Shandling's Show
(whistling) whistling
This was the theme to Garry Shandling's show."

I really like the theme song to "The O.C." as well.
