Anyone like Phil collins?

Yeah go ahead haters, I love some of his songs. Nothing dares as bad as Phil but so what. Contrary to popular belief, he did a few uptempo's.....

Here are my fav's:-

Sussudio
Don't lose my number
One more night
Who said I would
Another dayt in paradise
Colors
I wish it would rain down
Against all odds (damn this song is good)
Invisible touch (genesis)
hang in long enough

Phil's music almost defines 80's MOR pop.

Come on u must like at least 1 song?

In the 80s yes he had his hits, the songs were vert dramatic and intense like the Queen stuff.

its annoying how much artist Sample in the Air Tonight.. although i do enjoy Tupacs version as he does try to make it his own style..

i get bored with Phil's "hit songs" ... see all the above that "thesexofit" mentioned wink

I love the "non-hits" like "home by the sea" .... "west side story" ... etc ... confused

hmmm...a long time ago.... I loved his stuff with Genesis, at least up until about 1984...and I Loved his first solo album, Face Value:

I especially liked: In the Air Tonight, The Roof Is Leaking, Hand In Hand and the ballad, If Leaving Me Is Easy(Ronald Isley later covered this on the album, Masterpiece).... but after that, Phil started sliding, (to paraphrase CalhounSq), "into nutsuckery"...

Oh yeah, i love phil!!! I loved that "sussudio" song when I was a little kid, it sounded funny. But my fav song of his is "in the air tonight". Damn that song is so tight when you hear that drum start up and take the song away.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I like some of his solo work, but he rocked in Genesis.....

He is a very funny person, so that is why many people like him I guess.

I wnt to a show in 94 in Utrecht, and it was boring!!! pfff, I almost fell asleep.. eek .only slow songs in the 1st part.....

But than fortunatley in the 2nd part he grabb3ed his drumsticks and started to play some real music!! He saved the show with that...

I ain't a big fan of "easy lover"

It was good that he and Peter broke america. Though both were a million miles away from their pompous Genesis days.

Phil Collins put out some funky tracks in the Reagan years. I don't care for his modern Disney movie drivel, though.

nod Although his last hit "I Can't Stop Loving You" (which he did not right) wasn't bad. If he wants. I bet he could make a really good album but will probably settle for making light Disney faire to pay the bills.

Yep, loved him too.

My absolute fav was Invisible Touch. I used to scream!! when that came on the radio. That frenetic melody, the passion, the mystery of this elusive, powerful woman. Oh!

On the other end of the spectrum, I also was in love with the soft, melancholy "There Must Be Some Misunderstanding" from the early genesis days.
