They're taking so damn long when it comes to issuing those SITCOMS. I want them to release the next seasons for:
227(The 1st season was aight but it REALLY took off in 1987 when Sandra Clarke completely dominated the show). & The Jeffersons(Can't wait till Aprill 12 tho ).

As silly as it is, I love 227, cuz there's no place like home (I mean no place, child!). I'm hoping Amen will make it to DVD soon, too.

Yeah, the release schedules are inconsistent. They've already released Season Five of "Sanford and Son",but yet they're taking forever to release Season Three of "The Jeffersons"! What's the holdup?

The reason why I want to see 227's 2nd season too much is becoz of the Tempts cameo eposide,,,boy, I love that eposide

I remember "Sanford and Son" coming out on DVD around the time I moved to Ann Arbor in 2002, if not before. It would help if they had some consistency.

He was excellent on that show, and given that in real life he was the complete opposite of George - quiet, humble and reserved - it just makes what he brought to the show even more respectable. The show itself wasn't perfect, but it was always outrageous, and when it was funny, it was really funny.
I got one word to say,,, FLORENCE Boy, that is one sassy heffa. Marla Gibbs was the damn thang in The Jeffersons, esp when you compare her role to 227's Mary Jenkins which is quite mellow comparing to Florence. I guess she passed the torch on to Jackee Harry(Sandra Clarke) who dominated that show FULLY . Everytime I remember the 2 eposides where she was sitting with Gladys Knight in a salon for an hour she didn't realize untill later, and the eposide where she met Billy Dee Williams,,,I piss on myself not to mention, how she & George wild out at each other, back and fourth lol,, Of course, I could neva understand how critics hammered it in its later seasons as "white washed" How so? We're moving on up edit,, [Edited 3/14/05 11:36am] This is my favorite sitcom EVER!

That's my favorite "227" episode! I find it funny the way the Tempts' limousine just happens to break down in Mary's neighborhood...lol...and I love the part where Mary,Sandra and the other lady do a Supremes-like performance ("And now...for our 12th number..."). I can't wait for Season 2

They said it all the time on Good Times. I don't think they ever used it on Good Times. They said "Negro, please!" a lot times, but I don't recall ever hearing the full-fledged n-word.
