Before your obese state side ass "falloffs" your chair again, tell me what you constructively know about the British Urban music scene? Actually, I am aware that there is a flava eminating from your part of the world and has been for a while. Mell'O', of course. Taskforce comes to mind. As does London Rhyme Syndicate. Lewis Parker? a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

I was thinking more along the lines of Skinnyman, Mud Family, Black Twang, Doc Brown, One Self and all the Ninja Tunes camp, etc., etc. The list could go on and on. You see no one was comparing U.K. hip hop the pioneerers in the U.S. It was just nice to see someone throwing a thumbs up to the people in the U.K. game. "Real" Contemporary U.K. hip hop/urban is very much different to the state side sound. It's flava is raw and specific to the streets of the country with a unique underground sound (e.g. artists spittin' with local accents and slang that wouldn't mean much to ears unfamiliar). Therefore, whether it's emanating to other parts beyond these shores, I don't know, but I can tell you that U.K. hip hop is very real and relative it's own peolpe. .p.s. I was just lacing up my boots for a ruc too..... then you had to go all nice on me, damn "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

I have heard of Doc Brown, also. Isn't his sister a famous author or sumthin? I'll have to check out the others. peace [Edited 3/13/05 16:10pm] a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on
