When my partner in crime, Rave/Administrator/xpPro comes back online I'll give a tutorial at clubnuvo, with a few files for you to use. I can be a true friend, or a worthy adversary. Did a thing on Clarence Reid (aka Blowfly) a bit ago within a thread.
(The "search" function would really be a blessing) Anyway, the Clarence Reid (normal?) side of things was part of Henry Stone's TK Records stable in Miami as an artist, writer and producer from the late '60s through the '70s. He wrote/co-wrote for Betty Wright (Clean Up Woman, Baby Sitter, Let Me Be Your Lovemaker, Girls Can't Do What the Guys Do), Gwen McCrae (Rockin' Chair) as well as other TK artists like Jimmy Bo Horne. At the start of the '70s his allegiance with the dark side (Blowfly) became evident with the release of... ...The Weird World of Blowfly Featuring such scintillating titles as My Baby Keeps Farting in My Face. His forte was song parodies of popular tunes like, Shitting on the Dock of the Bay and Spermy Night in Georgia. The Blowfly persona falls into the "party record" category along with the potential king of this genre, Rudy Ray Moore (aka Dolemite). Born in 1946 (which makes him almost 60 years old),... ...he's still got the Blowfly show on the road. Check his website and hide the women and children, he may be coming to a city near you some time soon. Austin, TX - 3/18, 3/19 Long Beach, CA - 4/1 San Francisco, CA - 4/2 Portland, OR - 4/3 Eugene, OR - 4/4 The Weird World of Blowfly tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all." | |
