Does anyone remember that song by Jermaine Jackson featuring brother Michael. I love that sing, one of my favorites. I was looking it up, and it wasn't even a single. Bad move my Jermaine, it ould have been hit.

I've read that it was CBS that didn't want the title released as a single, and Jermaine was Bitter that Michael didn't stand against his record compagny then.

To me, Jermaine's music just went downhill when he left Motown and signed with Arista. I prefer his Motown work (Let's Get Serious, Burnin' Hot, Feelin' Free, Paradise In Your Eyes, Let Me Tickle Your Fancy, etc.) by far.

Iam the opposite of what u said. I find his motown stuff flat and uninspired. I love his arista stuff.....

Though "tell me I'm not dreaming" is not one of my favs. The song "dynamite" is miles better.....sorta new wavey.....

But I do recall,around this time,MJ being very concerned about overexposure.That's why he didn't film a video for "State Of Shock",or appear in the Jackson's videos from the Victory album ("Torture" and "Body").

A video to "state of shock" woulda been funny. I heard on the "victory" tour that they didn't play any "victory" tracks. Despite "state of shock" being a big hit. I have got "body" video. It's ok. Yes Michael isn't in it.....

I think "torture" is better then "tell me I'm not dreamin'". U know Jermaine joined at the last second for "victory" album, which is why he is only co-lead vox on "torture" (which was Jackies duet with MJ)

"Torture" is an underrated song.I like it.

Rockwell is Berry Gordy's son,so MJ performed on his debut single as a favor.

I totally agree with you!!! Jermaine's music was smokin' with Motown because Berry Gordy was crazy about him and Jermaine was given total musical control and carte blanche!!! Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming was a phenomenal jam with Michael!!! Michael should have continued to record with his brothers in between making solo albums. They were monstrous!!!!
