Zeppelin VS Floyd

Now i know, they're two totally different bands!
but... what is it to you guys

Plant/Page or Waters/Gilmour

Personally i love these two bands equally, somethings i like zep for
Somethings i like floyd for

But if i had to choose Only one

I'd have to go with Floyd

But they're both probably the greatest bands of all time!

what do you think?

Zeppelin Zeppelin Zeppelin... I haven't got time to be bored by Floyd. (though you should check out "Amused To Death" by Roger Waters).

ooooohhhhh hoooo hooooo.....this one always comes up between Zeppelin and Pink Floyd fans. lol Funny how most hardcore Zeppelin fans are also Floyd fans as well. Don't know for sure if that's reciprocated though, as you can see, I'm all about Zeppelin myself. razz

But having said that, I honestly listen to them both equally I think. I mean, I listen to one as much as the other.

I love them both for sure nod but I have to go with Led Zeppelin. headbang

And of course you HAVE to love the two bands that helped to make Monty Python's "The Quest for the Holy Grail" possible. biggrin (my favorite movie) Both Zeppelin and Pink Floyd gave money to Python to get the movie off the ground. They were really Python fans. thumbs up!

Can I post my Page pictures yet? love

Of course I can! biggrin

Really?! I've heard about it, but I haven't heard it yet. Of course, I plan to get the album. nod In fact, I'm listening to Page and Plant's "Walking Into Clarksdale" album from '98 right now, and it reminds me of The Stone Roses of all things. lol

Sorry I always dug Zep music but I though Robert Plant never met a song he didn't oversing on.....

as for Floyd..... I like some songs but I feel that they get credit for being more sophisticated and complex.....

but to each his or her's own.....
Music is the best...

Everything Pink Floyd did with Syd is tops.

Led Zeppelin is great until the mediocre Presence.

Despite a classic album like In through the Out Door; Pink Floyd stills maintains it dominance with The Wall.

John Bonham dies, Roger and David will soon begin to argue like bitches………

In the final analysis Pink Floyd wins. Zep made very few bad records. In the Floyd catalog (you have to add post waters) there’s a few clunkers. Personally I listen to Zep more, I like to rock out and Physical Graffiti usually serves that purpose.

Pink Floyd-one of the most brilliantly unique, sophisicated, daring bands music will ever know.

Hey, I understand what you're saying though. Sometimes I want to say to Robert, "Hey, less is more." lol But I just can't imagine the band without him. His voice was pretty phenomenal during their early days (If you've seen/heard their live stuff) but it got VERY strained later on, probably from all the damn cigarettes and weed he was smoking. *sigh* And he did have throat surgery around '73 or '74 as well.

Syd and Jimmy look eerily alike in these pics....

Throw in Marc Bolan of T. Rex on the end there, and it gets even weirder. lol
