Justin to play Elton John in new biopic Justin Timberlake has agreed to play Elton John in a new movie charting the singer's rise to stardom - but only after ordering that scenes of sex and drugs be included.
Sir Elton, who was infamous for his drug-fuelled parties in the 70s, hand-picked 'Rock Your Body' singer Justin for the part in the £20 million film. "Knowing what a wild existence Sir Elton has led I thought 'Wow, you're offering me that role?' but when I read the script all the wild stuff had been left out," said Justin. "I told the studio that it would have to be warts-and-all so that's what it's going to be. I can't wait to get started." Justin previously played Elton in the video for the hit 'This Train Don't Stop There Any More'.

I'm not a big fan of Justin, but I think he will do a good job. I hope it's a realistic biopic. Elton has led a colourful life, to say the least.

You're going on what - previous acting experience here?

Why not get a real actor as opposed to a teeny pop star?
And does anyone really want to see a movie about Elton John???

You're going on what - previous acting experience here? No, I'm going on the fact that he completely respects Elton and because of that he will probably do his best to make a good movie and a realistic portrayal of him.

While I understand the knee-jerk "Eewww" reaction, have U ever seen the video 4 "This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore"? Justin resemblance to young Elton was remarkable. I only hope they don't p**sy out on the boy on boy kissing scenes. cough, cough *partymonster* cough... Madonna's coming out with a documentry of her tour, and i'll be the first to say it's not going to do well in theatres..... See, im not biased

Some people already think Justin is pussyed out many times. I think it takes bigger balls for a man to be able to kiss a man and not give a fuck

Resemblance does not equate ability to act.

I guess that movie he just finished will b a good indicator. Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

I'm a big Elton John fan...it's kind of a shame to see Justin Timberlake to play him in a movie, but even more disappointing that Elton hand-picked Timberlake to star in it. What does Elton see him? I certainly see nothing musically or in the way of acting.

Because Elton likes to play daddy to young male talent. Case in point: his willingness to perform onstage with Eminem.

It might be total shit BUT (I dare say) he did do a decent job on SNL. I know that doesn't mean he can carry a fucking movie but it makes me more inclined to give him a shot.
I probably won't see that bullshit anyway

what's wrong with Jamie Foxx? he should be the first choice for any piano playing role (if they can make the Wayans Bros into White Chicks, they can make Jamie into a White Chick too!) you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I support this completely

Timberlake pisses me off, but who knows? He might do a decent job of it.
Of course, since he's insisting on having the "warts n all" portrayal, they damn well better do some boy-on-boy kissage. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I fucking hate justin timberlake with every fiber of my being and refuse to believe that he could do anything worth watching or listening to . i am so looking forward to the day when he just disappears off the face of the earth. so in other words, i feel like this is really going to suck. Join me under the waterfall

Agree. I rather see Justin acting like Elton John instead of Michael Jackson!!!

2 votes for Jamie Foxx... Dynamic Savior Said: Also, do you think that ugly people are God's cruel joke on humanity (like the platypus and the heterosexual) or another form of population control?

I'm not sure what to think about this other than it might be better than a sad old VH1 movie with some newcomer who doesn't even look or sound like the person. Then again if Justin can't act (and I'm not sure yet) it could be just as bad if not worse.
